In this article, we first discuss the negative effects that have resulted from this pandemic of global proportions, and then go over the steps that Citiguard is taking to help its community, employees, and the world at large.
While the obvious problems facing the world are the lack of hospitals and the overload of patients, the abrupt slowdown in the economy added to the free time that all the people staying at home currently have, a few side effects have presented themselves. Namely, these are
Crime and Rioting has increased in areas that are less populated
Many business buildings are lying vacant, due to the lack of office goers, presenting ripe targets for thieves
Many people have been laid off from their usual jobs, and are looking for work in other areas to survive
In light of these challenges to the community, and after some careful consideration on how to overcome these head on, Citiguard has come up with a plan. In Los Angeles and California at large, Citiguard is expanding its workforce to fulfil the communities needs for protection of capital and vacant areas, as well as areas with increased needs for security. In order to do this, we are adding 500 security guards to our workforce over the next week, in order to have the manpower needed to adequately service all these areas. This is also going to help 500 families, who would otherwise have been without income in this time to have some gainful employment to keep their own families safe and secure.
In addition, we are taking steps to ensure that all our guards, both currently posted and new ones, follow adequate sanitary protocols while on duty and interacting with customers. They will be given additional training on keeping themselves safe during their job, and be provided with all the necessary equipment to keep themselves secure, as Citiguard is intensely committed to the safety of its entire family.
Overall, with this hire of over 500 security guards at once, Citiguard seeks to offset some of the losses to life and property, and at the same time offer support in these trying times by employing people who need the support. We will ensure safe and sanitary protocols for all our employees, new and old, to ensure that they get the safe working environment they need as they face the virus head on at the frontlines.
